Elliott turned 4 on APRIL 1st. His birthday party was on MARCH 28th. Today is MAY 1st. Do the math, that's how far behind I am ON MY LIFE. You can thank He Who Did Not Sleep (past tense verb usage here is SCARY as I am now sure to be up seventeen times tonight).
Anyways, HAPPY (extremely blog-belated) BIRTHDAY, Little Buddy! The best thing about watching the kids grow up and being there for their birthday parties every year is to watch as Elliott gets the same exact shy little cute look on his face when we sing Happy Birthday. THE SAME LOOK EVERY YEAR. It just kills me.
A couple of The Goose. She of ridiculously full eyelashes and funny accessories. She's a feisty one, that little Lucy. She refuses to let her Nena pay attention to anyone but her. Jill calls her a DIVA and I think it might be true.
Nena managed to get Cameron going on one of his famous laughing jigs. Once he gets going, he laughs and laughs and LAUGHS. Aunt Brooke got him going later in the day. My Cam, the little lady's man.
I told Renee to give Aunt Brooke a kiss and imagine my complete shock when she actually did it. I have been asking her to give Rama a kiss..and Papa...and everyone else she knows but she just ran right over and kissed Aunt Brooke. Shyly, of course.
One of Aunt Jill and Superman.
And Aunt Brooke and Superman. The men in the family don't generally hold the babies so for all intensive purposes on this blog, they don't exist.
Except for when they are being jackasses...which is what they do best. Like Colin (no doubt) saying something absurd while this picture was being taken. The best part of the picture is that his new wife clearly still thinks he's funny. I promise her, that will change.
Wait I take that back. I still think my own jackass is pretty funny. Like this picture of him totally rocking out on the Fisher Price guitar? It has the ability to make me laugh no matter how pissed off at him I am.
And that is how you go from Elliott's Lightning McQueen birthday cake to Ski's rocking out face in one giant post.
I can't believe it either! 4 years goes by in a BLINK! Our Youngest Boy does that same shy thing when we sing to him, too.
I have some of my favorite photos of him doing that...
Thanks for sharing!
