It was two years yesterday that Ski and I got married. Two wonderful years. The best two years of my life. Ha ha. The best part about anniversaries is that they force you to take the time to reflect on your relationship. And in my reflection I realize every year that I scored BIG time when I found Ski. We conned 'Auntie' Lindsey and 'Uncle' Jim in to watching Renee so we could go out for dinner. It was SO nice. We actually had a uninterrupted conversation, albeit mostly about Renee, but a converstaion nonetheless. And a dinner where I wasn't staring down at her and shoving her Soothie back in her mouth every five seconds. I hadn't left her with anyone but her dad since she was three weeks old and I cried the whole time I was gone so I guess I was kind of scared to do it again. Apparently I was ready this time. I walked out the door and didn't look back. Hopefully this is a good sign for two weeks from now when I have to drop her off with a complete stranger for eight hours a day.
My baby brain got me to forget the camera (again) but luckily the Peterson's took a couple of pictures while we were gone. She sleeps...
Sorry about the devil red-eye look...no time to fix it right now...
And here where are when we got back. Yes, my baby is trying pretty hard to get to the goods through my shirt. One of the many joys of nursing.
