My second day back to work my manager made me the "technical lead" on a major project going on at work. He basically gave me half of his job. Six months ago, I would have seen this as a big step in my career as I'll be directing workloads for three other people and will be in charge of "managing" all aspects of a gigantic project, which I can and will play up big time on my resume. Right now I just see it as more responsibility and more stress when really I'm just there for the paycheck. And they're not really paying for me for all of this new responsibility. Oh well, it will keep me busy and I won't have as much time to obsess about missing my baby.
For three nights in a row, Renee has gone to sleep before 9PM and has slept until 6AM. On Wednesday morning, I went running in there in a panic because I thought there was for sure something wrong with her. This morning I actually had to wake her up to feed her so that I could get to work on time. My hooters are in agony over this new development but I'm extremely well rested. It's a Catch 22.
Pictures during the week are probably a thing of the past as I can't justify spending time on the computer while she's awake at home and when she goes to bed, I scramble to do laundry, get her bottles ready for the next day, do the dishes and then I just want to unwind (i.e., drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine). Oh, and spend some quiet time with my husband and my furry felines. I'll try to post some pictures over the weekend.
I'm thinking of converting my blog to a Typepad blog so that I can make Blurb books easily. For you Typepad users, is the making of a Blurb book really THAT easy or am I wasting my time with the conversion?
My random thought of the day is that Basil Parmesan Wheat Thins are just plain gross. They have a weird after taste that you can't get out of your mouth until you brush your teeth. Sort of like Nacho Cheese Doritos except not in a good way.
